Optical Mapping Technology is an innovative optical mapping technology that uses Voltage Sensitive Dye (VSD) and ultra-high-speed, high-resolution cameras to record the membrane potential activities of cell populations. It can non-invasively record changes in the membrane potential of myocardial cell populations, measure the conduction characteristics of potential activities between cells, and provides possibilities for studying electrophysiological activities such as smaller cells, slender nerve processes, and arrhythmias. Moreover, it can record the electrical activities of the entire heart and convert them into color image displays such as cellular action potentials, isochronal maps, isopotential maps, and action potential conduction velocity maps.
Optical Mapping Technology is an important technical means for scientific research to return from the microscopic to the macroscopic (tissues and organs).
