The clamping arm provides vertical clamping force for securing optics to staged mounts, translation stages, and V-clamps. Each clamp arm has 6-32 (M4) threads. With a threaded adapter installed in the threaded hole, the press arm can be adjusted at the seam between the post and the adapter. The arms are made of heat-treated stainless steel for stability in fluctuating temperature environments and are vacuum compatible. Each clamp arm is attached to the post with a flex mechanism and secured with a hex key screw. The set screw on the top of the arm can also clamp the optic with a hex key.
