【Product Overview】
LEX5 is a high-output, highly stable LED light source system from SciMedia developed for basic biological research and compatible with fluorescence microscopes from various manufacturers. A built-in photodiode optical feedback (OFB) compensates in real time for light intensity fluctuations caused by LED temperature rise. For research use only (RUO).
【Key Features】
(1) Diverse LED wavelength lineup: 6 standard wavelengths 405/460/530/580/620nm plus white, 5 optional wavelengths, compatible with a wide range of fluorescent probes;
(2) High output: approx. 450mW/cm² at light guide emission port (LEX5-G, 100% output, no filter);
(3) High stability: < 0.3% light intensity variation in 30s with OFB mode, no re-measurement or data correction needed;
(4) Two lighting modes: high-stability (continuous) and high-speed (rapid strobe);
(5) Three lighting control methods: manual / external signal / software.
【Typical Applications】
Excitation light source for fluorescence imaging; membrane potential imaging using VSD/GEVI; calcium and GCaMP imaging; intrinsic optical signal (IOS) imaging; optogenetics light stimulation (ChR2, NpHR); experiments requiring high-brightness and high-stability illumination.
